2. Visiting this website
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data that your browser sends, such as your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, and your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website, keep it secure and protect it against attacks. We do not use this data to identify you.
This website does not use cookies, analytics, tracking tools or advertising. The fonts are stored on our own website, so no data is sent to third-party font services such as Google Fonts.
3. Contacting us
If you contact us by email, we process the information you send us, such as your name, email address, company, job title and the content of your message. We use it only to answer your enquiry and, if you wish, to prepare an offer.
4. Clients and training participants
When we provide training, we process the contact details of our client contacts and participants, details needed to plan and deliver the programme, and billing information.
Our training often includes practice interviews and presentations recorded on camera. We use these recordings only for feedback during and after the training. We do not publish them or pass them on to anyone else without your consent. We delete them once they are no longer needed for the training, unless we agree otherwise with you or your organisation.
5. Who receives your data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only where this is needed for the purposes above, with:
- our website hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc.
- our email service provider
- our accountant or trustee, and authorities where the law requires it
These providers process data on our behalf and are bound to protect it.
6. Data processed outside Switzerland
Some of our providers, including Cloudflare, are based in the United States or may process data there or in other countries. Where a country does not offer data protection equivalent to Swiss law, we rely on recognised safeguards. These include the Swiss–US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified, or the standard contractual clauses approved by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) and the European Commission.
7. How long we keep data
- Website log data: for the short period our hosting provider needs for security and delivery.
- Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: deleted when no longer needed, usually within 12 months.
- Client and project records: for the duration of our working relationship.
- Invoices and accounting records: 10 years, as required by Swiss law.
- Training recordings: as described in section 4.
8. Legal basis (for visitors from the EU)
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data to perform a contract or take steps at your request before entering into one (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), and for our legitimate interests in running a secure website and answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where we ask for your consent, the basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
9. Your rights
Within the limits of the applicable law, you have the right to:
- find out whether we process your personal data, and receive a copy of it
- have incorrect data corrected
- have your data deleted
- object to processing or restrict it
- receive data you provided to us in a common electronic format
- withdraw consent you have given, with effect for the future
To exercise these rights, email us at oblofeld@bcszurich.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity.
You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, www.edoeb.admin.ch. If you live in the EU, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
10. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. This website is delivered only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services or the law change. The current version is always published on this page.
